Sonoma County Barrel Auction Lot #51. From iconic producer Joe Swan who started his winery in 1968, this 2015 Syrah bottling is called "Rocks & Sand" for the two unique vineyards that make up the blend. This is a "never before, never again" wine, made specifically for the auction and the two single vineyards have never been blended previously. Only 10 cases produced. It is drinking excellent now and also makes a fantastic as a gift for a wine aficionado, due to being high quality and its rarity. As winner of the auction lot, we are the only retailer to own/offer any.

Wonderful with a smokey, roasted meat profile. Mellowed with 9 years of age, it reminds me of great Rhone wines that sell for more than twice the price.
